Wow! How sore and bitter was Tidus when things did not go his way last night? Like seriously? OMG! There is nothing that Vivi could have donemore than what he did himself. I do think that the PM I sent him, which was 100% perfectly honest, cut a little close to the bone. Hell the only reason Vivi did not push more for Tidus to go this last round is because of the level of opposition to those who wanted to see his still in the game.
Cloud refused to entertain the possibility of a Tidus vote. Lightning was very hesitant about it. Seph apparently told Lightning he was wanting to keep Tidus in the game. These are the 3 votes that ultuimately took out Seph. And the home truth of what Vivi had been telling Cloud about that Tidus ony viewed him as a number, as an option -and that was all - would have came resounding through as each of the 3 votes revealed hisw name on them.
Then Tidus getting all pissy about it all the way through the challenge etc and taking pops at Balthie and what not, I dare say it will not be too difficult to get these people to see what Vivi has been saying for the last few rounds, and had things gone Tidus way last night that he would have been very comfortable indeed going into the closing sages of the game. Now, unless he wins immnity, I will be saying he should be the one to go.
With Lightning having 2 HII and -fingers crossed- a pretty damn good shot at picking up this Immunity Challenge win also, hopefully that will keep 3 of us safe, including hopefully Vivi. So it is not an issue the current PM blackout.
What was disappointing was Terra's response. Tidus I understand, but Terra's attitude was pretty bad also, not least of which, first to play the PM blocker, which is never perceived as an overly positive move. But to go pretty short with Vivi saying she is targeting me, and Vivi said would not be doing that to her, and Vivi told Terra truth but Terra lie to Vivi, yet Terra is the one that is pissed at Vivi, even taking some karma from me. Like, wow! ok. Just because Vivi isn't just looking to wait and be picked off, she gets pissed at the way Vivi plays?
Speaking of which am going to address this here. This has been a very different approach to playing that have used here, but it has worked every bit as well as any other strategy Vivi has employed in the past. Appear friendly to all, clueless to all, either stray or deliberately be on the losing side of the vote as often as have been on the numbers side of the vote. Vivi came into the game looking to just entertain and keep myself amused as much as anything. Unfortunately some of the players have not been that terrific in the game, so perhaps it has been that as much as anything - some not being particularly fun or interesting, annoying, and amusing or whatever - that has seen them go ahead of Vivi.
Literally until yesterday Vivi had not a single mltiple person alliance in the entire game. Everything Vivi had had until then had been purely one on one things. And that is pretty cool, to think that you can get to F7 without a single mltiple person alliance almost stands in defiance of all Survivor theory and logic. But thart has been part of the reason why have been able to be on the losing side of votes and get to explain my way out oif it, but appearing to be the person at the mercy of others in the game. People like the feeling of power and having something over you and like the feeling that Vivi is somehow dependant on them. So that is fine. Admittedly I have exploited thison occasion and am still here.
But securing Balthie was a big deal and linking this up with Lightning this could be what gets us all the way to the F3. And ho knew, making a 3 way alliance at F7 again, in definace of Survivor logic could be so crucial?
Oh if only had held onto that little immunity trinket til this round, life would be utterly perfect, ... but will get to that in due course.

So at F8 I tried to arrange a move against Tidus, as he clearly was in the most comfortable and key position in the game. The survey re-inforced that, and thought although it was more than obvious to me before that point. So although part to save Tifa, who was a good shield and did not want to lose so soon, but also needed to make that move. Tifa naming me as someone who couldn't survive without an alliance at that sirvey was just comedy fucking gold. What alliance? I don't have an alliance!
This was also true with Tifa. We were in the game for a long time toigether, but with other things taking priority and what not, we never were chatting anywhere near the same level as what Vivi is with Lightning.
Yes, had personal connections, and little, 'I watch your backs', more casual than anything, but apart from Lightning can genuinely say that noone has even come close to investing in Vivi the way that Lightning has, and it is certainly true of Vivi, not having invested in anyone not nearly as mch as I have with Lightning, who is just freaking awesome!
Not even joking, I loved playing withSarita on debut although it was short lived. With Denise in AuStr AS3, but that was only for about 6 rounds also, from the reshuffle til the PROD stopped it in our tracks. Had a really good working relationship with Marvin in Versus: Universe, but we were not always reading from the same script at times. In Sansa and Davos, Arya had 2 people that had that same connection with, but thanks to that tribe turning into a bloody Lannister v Stark civil war - one that I did not want - was forced to play much, much harder and earlier than normally would have and therefore was made a target at the merge. Then there is Mor'du , who was a great partner to have strategically and it worked obviously, as got the W that I had been seeking, and in a way it was almost a dress rehersal for this, as that partnership was borne in the Kitchen at the Merge IC. There are others that I have really enjoyed playing the game with also, but Lightning, so far has been something else.

Getting back on track, try what I can to plant the seeds and pout across a very strong case as to why Tidus should have gone, But it didn't work. First off, there was a leak. Seph. Tifa and I trapped him in that, but was not going to happen after that. Damage done. Tifa said the wrong thing to the wrong person too soon and it was history. This was why I really wanted to recruit Lightning and Cloud first and then add others. nyhow, managed to convince Tifa to hand over the nullifier, so that is there for us to use.
Tifa went out with a lt of grace and class, and I was sorely tempted to post in the PM blocker thread when Tidus told her to fuck off, that Tifa deserved a slice of vindication for the events of last night, as she has been important in unveiling Seph as the leak and ultimately of her own demise. Her talking to Seph, Seph leaking to Tidus, who had plenty of time to rally his troops. But he only partially galvanized it, by securing what he thought was the dominanrt Nuba-ba-ba-barbara ann's and started to get a little wishy washy with Lightning and Cloud. Cloud was one of Tidus most vehement supporters and would not contemplate anything againt him. Hopefully seeing that there were 3 people that wrote his name out last night - including Tidus - will have convinved him otherwise of that.
Really am disappointed in Terra. I have much time and respect for her and have, on the whole enjoyed her company throughout the game. But have also felt since the merge that there were others that were closer to her than Vivi. Terra in fact was one of the main reasons I wanted Tidus gone, so without himk having his hooks into her, hopefully she would come to Vivi. Didnt work like that, but oh well.
So hooking up with Balthie has been grand, and think that revealing those Immunities was a really good idea, so he knew of them and will have read through that thread and what we were discussing whilee he wass offline yesterday. This is good. Obviously wish we didnt have the PM blackout so we could reveal our next little masterplan - which reminds me, will need to have a PM ready to post as soon as we get them back.

It's not going to hurt us much, but just makes it a little more complicated to co-ordinate.
So hopefully Lightning can win the Immunity, play a HII on me, and the other on Balthie or Cloud, but probably Balthie.
Maybe we can say split our votes on Terra and Tidus. Will be interesting to see how that shakes, but as for getting threough this vote, I think that at the very least, even if Terra or Tidus win immunity, Lightning will play her other HII on me, and the 2 of us are safe.
Then even if Balthie/Cloud decide that they want to team up with whichever of Terra or Tidus is left - hopefully Terra - that would on the surface make it 3-2 worst case scenario. But I play my nullifier. Lightning players her doubler, and that is a 2 vote swing. So instead of being outnumbers 2-3, we have the tools to go 3-2

There is probably loads more I have not even scraped the surface of, and this is always the case, because I have things in my head but because am notorious at providing qualirty confesioonals unless really have the time to do so, as invest most of the time hammering out the PMs, so mch of it gets washed or forgotten about and I dont think of it til much later, when it is either no longer relevant or whatever.
Oh, and to Kimahri Ronso & Selphie - thanks for putting up with me inthe game. I know in myself have played not a particularly great game, but it has been a very dfferent type game, and as it has gone on, despite my little chips in threads and what not, am doing that just for the Vivi. You both know I do have a great deal of esteem for you both and am very grateful for the work you have put in on developing the challenge and everything else connected to putting on a game. For it all to be carried by the 2 of you has been pretty exceptional, even with RL things to have contend with also. I don't know how this game will end up and the longer I have gone from looking to amuse myself to amusing a few others also to trying to bring the board to life as well with the film festivivials, the festivivial of the boot, the Final Fantasmagoria soundtrack, and not to forget the hopscotch.
Anyhow, thanks again for putting up with me, and know this has not been the game you probably wanted to see me play, but it has been a different experience and I guess, maybe having the big board presence has made up for the lack of a lot of the gameplay I am capable of, and you were probably expecting to see more of.

Yes I offered a open ended F3 deal (with an unspecified 3rd person) with Cloud a few days ago, but never has he either accepted or acknowledged that, and if he is F3 or not, maybe... We will see. But Vivi can continue to play on this with him.
