Welcome to Epicquatch: Final Fantasy!
So, this is you confessional! It’s a place for you to tell us your strategies, or even for you to vent out your frustrations on the game and the players in it. It’s pretty much a place for you to let us know your thoughts on everything, so please feel free to use it as often as you would like! Oh, needless to say that everything said here is private and only hosts can see it, so don’t hold back!
So, some opening questions!
What is your strategy for coming into this game? Do you have one or are you just going to see how it goes?
Have you ever played a Final Fantasy game before? If so, what is your favourite? If you haven’t, seriously don’t worry since you don’t need to know anything about it to do well in this game, I’m just curious!
Do you plan on falling into a schtick, or are you just going to be yourself?
What do you think your chances of winning this game are?
What do you think about some of the twists, and how do you think they will affect your game?
Anyway, just remember to have fun! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM a host!

Wow first time I've ever been on proboards!
Anyways to answer the questions!
I don't have a strategy going into any game to be honest I always just go in with an open-mind and talk to the other players and get to know them a bit because you never know when you might need to align with someone at any point in this game. Also I won't openly start talking strategy because I don't want to be too forward so I'll wait to someone starts that strategy talk with me. That is one thing I want to avoid coming across as abrasive because no one wants to have an annoying abrasive person around for long.
I have played FF games before I've played 7-13 and all tactics. I guess my favorite is probably FF10 with 9 in a close second.
Nope I never tend to do schticks since I think its annoying to try and keep up with.
My chances of winning this game are low in my opinion. I am not so great at challenges at all so that is my #1 weakness in this game. My tribe wanting to vote me off for sucking at challenges is something that is likely to happen.
I think having TC before an IC is a totaly twist. I don't know how that'll affect my game but holy shit that's already a game changer in my book!

Just to clarify, the tribal council for the previous challenge is before the next challenge. So instead of haivng he challenge and going straight to tribal council. You have the challenge, then have about 24 hours to talk about the vote until you go to tribal council

I guess this will be my official round 1 thread for now. I'll see how fast this game goes and if I should just make a thread for each round.
Though oh my goodness I am already tired of talking to some of these guys they are talking like it's the damn 1800s like just talk like normal people!

I mean holy shit Zidane has already approached me and started talking about how he wanted to align with me and the rest of the girls since we were outnumbered and he thinks its not fair.
Like I don't think it matters the fact that the girls are outnumbered at all. If the girls are better at challenges it'd be dumb to boot us. Though I know I am going to be the WORST competitor here.

Don't worry so much on challenges! I will tell you now that I am probably the worst challenge competitor ever and no way is a game that I'm hosting going to appease challenge threats over social players. The challenges we have are not so reliant on luck or internet speed and tend to focus on skills that you don't normally see used in challenges, so don't count yourself out If you ever don't understand how to do something in a challenge, feel free to ask us as oppose to simply not 'getting it and failing (I've done that in the past because I was too scared to ask for help) I'm actually excited to see you play since I don't know you

Oh I don't know about you being the worst ever I think I'm known to suck at challenges well back in the old days when I did play ORGs! lol Though I always do try my hardest and I hate when people don't think I tried. It's good to hear that though as a fellow bad competitor it means a lot. I always tend to just never want to ask questions because I wonder how people perceive me when I ask silly questions. I hope I don't let you down!

Well Squall sucks at PMing like he replies in two words which is quite frustrating. It is hard enough already just starting to PM at the beginning of the game and it doesn't help if you aren't any fun to talk to. Worst thing is I was being nice to him and now he wants to work with me apparently. Ugh like I want to say "Hell no!" but I mean is it ever a good idea to say no to an alliance. If anything the easy to say no is that I think its too early to start forming alliances and that I want to wait til everyone logins to meet everyone.

Unfortunately you weren't the first to post this in your confessional so you won't know if it's anything or not.

Hm a possible strategy with the MoP is to actually never use it so that the other tribe will NEVER have an advantage. I know it would make the game boring but I will for sure present my tribe with this idea.
